"How to Find a Lost Cat"
Texas Lost & Found Cats
If you've lost a cat, below are some key links for Lost & Found cats
both nationally and at local animal shelters in Austin, but be aware: it's always best to check shelters in person—or have someone do it for you.
As an international pet detective, I can find a lost cat anywhere in the world, and have cats found in 17 countries so far. Just contact me and put "HELP ME FIND MY CAT" in the subject line.
NOTE:
As you'll learn in "How to Find Your Lost Cat book" checking shelters is important --but not the best way to spend your time in the first two days.
Lost Cat Finder offers a discount on materials if you are a member of the Austin Lost and Found Pets Facebook page:
Austin also has a CATS ONLY lost and found FB page run by Robin Jones at
Keep in mind, a lost cat may end up at a shelter a year or more after being lost, so keep checking for 12- 20 months. HOWEVER, your prime concern in the first two days is physically searching for your cat, getting the posters up and flyers out.
Check the shelter for your lost cat every 3 days but focus your main energy on SEARCHING for your lost cat or luring your cat home as the book describes. For lost and found animals and petfinder options to find cat Houston and missing pets in San Antonio, ask a local pet detective who will know the animal rescue groups to notify and post your missing pet.
Where to post and search for "LOST & FOUND CATS" online:
